About us
A team of divers helping people understand the Mediterranean
L’équipe Dive.Explo360 is a French non-profit association founded under the 1901 Associations Act, born of a shared passion: diving, observing and sharing the richness of Mediterranean marine life.
Above all, we are a group of friends who have been diving together for many years. These dives provide the images, observations and knowledge that we then choose to share through Dive.Explo360.
Dive.Explo360 grew out of the underwater images captured by members of our team during dives in the natural environment. They are the starting point for our work to document marine life and share knowledge.
We want to inspire observation, help people identify species, make understanding possible and share knowledge of nature that is accessible to everyone.
From diving to knowledge
It all begins underwater
Our dives allow us to film species in their natural environment, their behaviour, their interactions and the Mediterranean landscapes they inhabit.
These observations then become the starting point for interconnected learning resources:

An organism spotted in a video can lead to its identification, its profile, a question, an article or a learning path that takes the discovery further.

We have chosen to bring public discovery and knowledge of marine life together. The same species, habitat or phenomenon can be explored at different reading levels.

clic-M.O.I helps you identify what appears during an interactive dive. dis-MOI lets you freely ask questions about the Mediterranean. Profiles, articles and learning paths help you explore further. Games let you put your discoveries into practice. Explorarium lets divers build their own dive log.
During its testing period, the full version of dis-MOI is available free of charge to all visitors.
An observation prompts a question, the question leads to a discovery, and the discovery makes you want to observe more.
A team with complementary skills
A shared adventure
Team members contribute in particular through their observations and the images they bring back from their dives. Website design, digital tool development, editing and image processing then turn this material into learning experiences.
Content and creations remain the property of their respective authors; their use within Dive.Explo360 is governed by the usage rights defined by the association.
We have chosen to put the project and the Mediterranean in the spotlight, rather than the people behind them.
Looking out across the seas
Contributors
Other videographers can join this initiative by sharing their observations of underwater life. Their images gradually enrich our knowledge of other seas, species and habitats.
Each contributor has an individual profile presenting their work, the regions they explore and links to their website and social media.
Because it is hard to want to protect what we do not know
Our ambition is to make Mediterranean marine biodiversity visible, understandable and accessible, both to divers and to children discovering what happens beneath the surface for the first time.
Dive after dive, we also hope to help build a visual record of Mediterranean life — an ambition already expressed in the association’s mission.

How we work
An independent and open association
An independent association
L’équipe Dive.Explo360 develops the project using the resources of the association and its members. To date, our funding comes mainly from our own funds, without regular institutional or federation support.
This independence lets us develop our tools freely, but also limits our ability to raise awareness of them and make them more widely available.
We welcome partnerships, support, collaborations and educational outreach projects that can bring these resources to new audiences.
Do you work with the sea?
Diving clubs, associations, schools, educators, professional organisations, local authorities, museums, aquariums and other organisations connected with the sea can use Dive.Explo360 under a licence suited to their use.
Personal use of the site remains free; group, educational, professional and screening uses are covered by Dive.Explo360 licences.
