The Mediterranean green sea ball is a green alga that forms a soft, velvety ball, often compared to a small cushion or a beret.Its colour varies from dark to lighter green, sometimes slightly blackish, and its surface is soft to the touch.It is hollow inside and attached to the substrate by a small, inconspicuous base.WHERE DOES IT LIVE?
This alga lives attached to rocks, mainly in well-lit areas.It occurs from the surface down to several tens of metres, often in calm but also slightly disturbed water.It is mainly found in the Mediterranean Sea.WHAT DOES IT EAT?
