WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

Pale lines run along the golden brown body to the snout. The fins are yellow. Adults commonly reach about 30 cm and may grow to 40 cm.

WHERE DOES IT LIVE?

Coastal Indo-Pacific reefs provide shelter and feeding areas. The documented 5–40 m range does not measure the depth of this filmed scene.

WHAT DOES IT EAT?

Like other sweetlips, it takes invertebrates close to the seabed. This general diet does not identify any particular shrimp as prey in the video.
