WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
The humphead wrasse has a thick body and large lips. Fine lines run across its head and sides; large individuals may have a hump above the eyes. The forehead hump and colours change as it grows, so young fish do not look exactly like large adults.WHERE DOES IT LIVE?
Its natural range includes the Red Sea and many Indo-Pacific reefs. Reef structures provide feeding grounds and places to shelter at night.WHAT DOES IT EAT?
It eats fish and various invertebrates. Pharyngeal teeth in the throat help crush hard prey, so its feeding role extends beyond hunting other fish.GO FURTHER WITH AMIGANSEAU
