This solitary ascidian is attached to the substrate and has a thick, white to translucent body. Its surface is covered with small rounded bumps that give it a granular appearance.It has two visible openings: an upper siphon through which water enters and a lateral one through which it leaves. Its entire body is surrounded by a tough covering.WHERE DOES IT LIVE?
It lives attached to different surfaces, such as rocks, sandy seabeds or submerged structures.It is found in the Mediterranean and the nearby Atlantic, often in calm areas, sometimes with particle-laden water.WHAT DOES IT EAT?
