This sponge forms upright, branching structures resembling a small shrub. Its branches are thick, irregular and often directed upwards.Its colour varies from yellow to yellow-orange. Its surface is rough and pierced by small openings through which water flows.Despite its plant-like appearance, it is an animal attached to the substrate.WHERE DOES IT LIVE?
It lives attached to rocky seabeds, particularly in coralligenous areas and on drop-offs.It is generally found in dimly lit or partly shaded areas, often exposed to moderate currents.WHAT DOES IT EAT?
