WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
This small colonial organism forms groups of yellow polyps clearly visible on the seabed. Each polyp resembles a small tube topped with a crown of thin tentacles, often lighter in colour. The centre may appear slightly orange. When numerous, these polyps create the impression of a bright yellow carpet.WHERE DOES IT LIVE?
It develops on hard supports such as rocks, drop-offs or walls, often in dimly lit areas. It is frequently found beneath overhangs or at cavity entrances, where currents bring food.WHAT DOES IT EAT?
It captures small prey and suspended particles from the water using its tentacles, then brings them towards its mouth.GO FURTHER WITH AMIGANSEAU
