This colonial sea squirt forms raised masses, often rounded or slightly conical. Its colour is generally bright orange, making it quite visible underwater.Its surface has many small openings arranged in winding patterns. These are water inlets, while larger openings allow water to leave.WHERE DOES IT LIVE?
It lives attached to hard surfaces such as rocks, drop-offs or coralligenous structures.It is mainly found in dimly lit or sheltered areas, sometimes in deep water.WHAT DOES IT EAT?
