This small goby has an elongated, inconspicuous body adapted to life near the seabed. Its colouring is pale, dotted with dark and orange markings that vary in distinctness between individuals. A dark spot may be visible on the dorsal fin, accompanied by contrasting patterns on the flanks. Its appearance allows it to blend into the substrate and surrounding rocky habitats.WHERE DOES IT LIVE?
It lives on detrital, sandy or gravelly seabeds, often near rocky or coralligenous areas. It generally occurs at moderate to considerable depths, staying close to cavities or natural shelters.WHAT DOES IT EAT?
Its diet consists of small benthic invertebrates, mainly crustaceans and organisms living in the sediment. It hunts immediately beside its refuge.GO FURTHER WITH AMIGANSEAU
